MUSAS Historical Archaeological Museum / Palazzo Cenci

MUSAS is the Historical Archaeological Museum of Santarcangelo of Romagna and is housed in Palazzo Cenci, in the old centre. The building, which has several levels, was completely restructured and made functional with the creation, in an external enlargement and hypogeum, of a new staircase with a lift and a services building completely buried under the garden. There is a collection of prehistoric, Roman, medieval, Renaissance and modern testimonies. There stands out the polyptych by Iacobello di Bonomo (1385) and the altarpiece with St. George by Luca Longhi. The sculptural works are on shaped shelves and pedestals in steel.
